From the moment you arrive at Las Tortugas, the view stops you in your tracks. The private infinity pool appears to merge with the turquoise Caribbean sea below, stretching across the bay to Sandy Island a deserted sandbar and nature reserve just minutes away by boat and beyond to the islands of the Southern Grenadines.
The pool terrace is yours entirely. Sun loungers, a shaded gazebo, outdoor wooden bar and a gas barbecue, everything you need for long, unhurried days in the sun. In the evenings, settle onto the covered veranda with a rum punch and watch the sun set over the Grenadines in colours that seem almost too vivid to be real.
Honeymoon Hole: Your Own Sunset Beach
Just beyond the villa, a footpath leads down through the hillside garden and along the coast to Honeymoon Hole, a small, secluded white sand beach tucked away on the western side of the point. It is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the villa on foot, inaccessible by car, and all the better for it. The kind of place most visitors to Carriacou never find.
It makes for a lovely afternoon hike. Bring water, wear shoes and allow time to explore the coastline along the way. Best visited in the afternoon when the light is at its most beautiful, and plan to be back at the villa before dusk.

Day Trips and Island Adventures
Sandy Island, just across the bay from Las Tortugas, is one of the most beautiful spots in the Grenadines. A short boat trip from Paradise Beach, it is a popular anchorage for sailing yachts and a wonderful place to spend a day swimming and snorkelling in the clear Caribbean water. White Island lies to the south of Carriacou and is well worth a visit by boat. A spectacular volcanic plug surrounded by reef and white sand beach, it can be explored together with its sister islands Saline, Frigate and Large Island for a full day out on the water.
For couples who enjoy diving, Carriacou offers some of the finest dive sites in the Eastern Caribbean, with untouched reefs, dramatic shipwrecks and an abundance of marine life all within easy reach of the villa. Dive Carriacou is a five minute drive away, and Deefer Diving is in Hillsborough, approximately 15 minutes from the villa. Both can arrange everything from a single dive to a full week of diving.

Every stay at Las Tortugas is looked after by Godfrey and Leslieann, who have been part of the villa since it was built. Godfrey will meet you on arrival, help you collect your complimentary 4WD and settle you in. They will look after the villa throughout your stay including making beds, laundering linen, cleaning and washing up, so that you never have to think about anything except enjoying your honeymoon.
On arrival, Leslieann will welcome you with a traditional pelau, a local dish of chicken and rice, made fresh for your first evening.
